Mercedes Diaz is the founder of Mercedes Diaz Homes Network. A graduate from the University of La Habana, Cuba, Mrs. Diaz began her career in social work over 50 years ago. She began Mercedes Diaz Homes with the vision of improving the lives of others. The single facility that Mrs. Diaz first dedicated to the care and supervision of her residents has grown into a corporation that branches out into Day Programs, Specialized Homes, Supported and Independent Living Services. With over three decades of experience in the care and living conditions for the intellectually disabled population Mercedes Diaz Homes is recognized as one of the best networks of service. MDH Network is proud to have almost 300 employees whose skills and backgrounds are selected to provide the best possible care and quality of life to every individual.

Ramon Diaz has been the CEO of MDH Network since 1998. He has dedicated his time in helping improve the lives of others by managing facility administrators in making decisions directly related to the daily operation of the facilities. Mr. Diaz is involved throughout the MDH Network; he has overseen the development of 11 CPP facilities, recruited and helped train staff to provide services to developmentally disabled individuals, and has experience operating level 4I and level 4C facilities. Ramon manages and opened the Community Integration Program, Supported Living Services Program, and R.A. Cadia Coordinated Life Services, which serves individuals with complex case management issues. Among his many achievements working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Whittier College, a Masters in Biology from Auburn University, has obtained an Adult Residential Facility Administrator Certificate, Direct Support Professional Training Certificate, and has Certificates of Merit for year 1 and 2. Ramon continues to improve the life of others by providing direct support and motivation to MDH Network employees and individuals receiving services as the company continues to grow.

With over 10 years of experience, Alicia Gonzalez serves as the Executive Administrator for MDH Network. She is the Administrator for a CPP Forensic Facility in the city of Santa Fe Springs, specializing with judicial involvement, and behavior modification interventions. Alicia has extensive experience having administered level 3 and 4 facilities. During her time with the company she has been a key member in developing the network , the staff, trainings, along with the expansion of numerous CPP programs. She is responsible for overseeing the management and organization of the company and residential services. Her comprehensive knowledge of Title 17, Title 22, and Labor Laws assures that the company is in compliance with all agencies. Alicia is an administrative liaison working with Community Care Licensing, Regional Centers, and vendor committees. It is with great pride that we have Alicia Gonzalez serving our team as she is vehemently dedicated to improving the lives of others.

Director of Recruitment and Development 

Gustavo Velasco is the Director of Recruitment and Development at MDH Network. He has been part of our team for over 12 years and has been a key player in the development of multiple projects. His diligent work ethic, supervisor experience, and crisis management skills foster a work environment that provides the best quality of life possible for our individuals receiving services. He has experience in working with level 3 and 4 homes where his duties consisted in daily operations of the facility, implementation of the program design, activities, IPP staff training, staff supervision, documentation and reports, collaboration with multiple agencies, and the On-Call Administrator for emergencies. Gustavo has multiple certifications to facilitate trainings and support his administrative standing. Such array of knowledge along with his Bachelor of Arts from the California State University of Los Angeles makes Gustavo an asset to our team. We are most definitely honored to have Gustavo at MDH Network.

Mario Peres is the Human Resources Director. He has a Bachelor degree in Intercultural Studies from Biola University and a Master degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Mario obtains over 20 years of hands-on experience as a Human Resources executive in the fields of Education, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, and Logistic service environments including Non-Profit Organizations. His consulting skills establish him as a strategic partner in organizational and corporate development, labor relations, recruitment, benefits design, administration compensation, and workers' compensation. He has helped the MDH Network to support the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

Marsha Webb has worked for MDH Network as a Senior Administrator for the past 16 years. She currently holds a Master degree in Rehabilitation Administration and has over 30 years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. She has been involved in daily operations of assigned facilities and overseen programming for individuals. Marsha has written and prepared grants for new projects, served on the Department of Developmental Services committees for development of the Alternative Residential Model (ARM) system, and the Direct Support Professional Testing. She is currently a member of the MDH Network development team that has implemented programs in the facilities, day program, and SLS/ILS/JIDC/CLS programs. Marsha has an extensive background working with state and local agencies, with a special focus in the development of utilizing community resources. She has assisted individuals and their family's transition from Camarillo, Agnews, Porterville, Fairview, and Lanterman Development Centers. Marsha's experience has assisted the MDH Network in improving the lives of individuals in our programs.

Mary assists Ron with Community Resource Development and Risk Management within the MDH Network.  Mary assist with technical support to enhance quality of services, provides assistance with crisis intervention strategies recommendations as needed, conducts training regarding identified quality assurance topics, assists in writing program designs for resource development projects, and assist with providing consultation when issues involving resource development arise.  Mary has 35 years of experience working for the State of California Department of Developmental Services at a State Developmental Center as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and Community Program Specialist for the Regional Resource Development Program. Working for the Regional Resource Development Project for many years she conducted W&I code 4418 (risk assessments) for individuals with developmental disabilities who were in crisis.  Mary brings a wealth of knowledge to the MDH Network team and continues to aid in our growth as a company.

Ron is a key participant in the Community Resource Development and Risk Management team at the MDH Network. Ron’s current responsibilities are technical support to enhance quality of services, provide crisis intervention strategies recommendations as needed, conduct training regarding identified quality assurance topics, write program designs for resource development projects, and provide consultation when issues involving resource development arise.  He also participates in the MDH Network Executive group meetings.  Ron has a strong background of experiences working with people who have Developmental Disabilities. He has worked over 30 years for State of California Department of Developmental Services in State and State contracted agencies in a variety of positions including Client Rights Advocacy at a State Developmental Center, Community Living Options Specialist and CPP Coordinator for a Los Angeles Regional Center, and Community Program Specialist for State Regional Resource Development Project conducting W&I code 4418 (risk assessments) evaluations for individuals with Developmental Disabilities who were in crisis.  Ron’s expertise is a great asset to the MDH Network and contributes to enhancing the quality of life for the individuals that MDH Network supports.
